Staging, Decorating and Organization Tips

Your home should create an atmosphere of rest and rejuvenation for
you and your family.

- It should be a place to nurture love and relationships.
- It should be a place you look forward to coming home to everyday.
- It should be your haven.

Graduation Party Buffets

Create an Exciting Buffet Table

- Use white linens, clear plates and flatware (it doesn’t compete with the food).

Then accent with your school colors using napkins, floral centerpiece, candies or confetti.

- Display your foods in tier form. This creates interest and drama!

You can do this simply by placing crates, sturdy boxes, bricks, tupperware, etc

on the table and covering them with a white table cloth or sheet.

- Place one dish on each riser making sure that foods are not above eye level.

-  When displaying your foods, start with the least expensive dish at the beginning of the buffet and work up to the most expensive dish.

- Tip:  To make a buffet line easier, place the plates at the beginning

of the buffet and the napkins and flatware at the end.

Dessert Table

- Stack different size cake pedestals and place cupcakes or cupcake holders

filled w/goodies on a dessert table.

-  Buy 5 to 7 different school colored candies and put in clear bowls or stemmed compotes.

- Print or order custom candy wrappers for chocolate bars (large or mini’s)

and put in a tilted bowl or basket and let them flow out.

Enjoy yourself!

Try to choose dishes that you don't have to tend to.  This gives you an

opportunity to spend time with your guests and not be stuck in the kitchen.

That’s what they really want.

So, RELAX and enjoy yourself!

Don’t neglect the views from your windows!

It’s springtime and everyone will be planting flowers, uncovering the
patio and porch furniture and preparing to enjoy the outdoors.
When landscaping and placing pots of flowers, always stand inside
your home and look out each window.  Make sure what you see
is pleasing to your eye and will make you feel good.  It’s always
great to let the colors from inside your home flow to the outside.
It creates a cohesive extension.

Make an entrance!

The goal of your home’s entrance should be to create an inviting look that
says ‘come in, sit down and stay a while’.  Your door color should enhance the
façade of your home.  Using a bold color will make your home more eye- catching.  Introduce ferns and flowers to soften the hard lines of your house and if your
outdoor space allows, add comfortable seating.  People will gravitate to your home.
